That is really weird.
It could be mac or it could be soundcard-related, like the maximum of active audiostreams or something.
At least we know it's not built into minim as such, because I can't reproduce your problem.
Does it not play the 33rd file you play (after playing 32 other files) or does it not play the 33rd file in the array (even when that is the first file you play)?
